Matrix, The (1999)

Computer hacker Neo thinks he is living in the year 1999 -- until he is contacted by the mysterious Morpheus. In reality, it is 200 years later and computers have created a false version of 20th-century life -- the Matrix -- to keep the human slaves, who are used for fuel, satisfied.
